Rinjani is a popular trekking destination on the island of Lombok in Indonesia, known for its stunning views and challenging hikes. Here’s a sample itinerary for a 2-day, 1-night trek to the Senaru Rim:

Day 1: Senaru Village to Senaru Rim ( B-L-D)

Elevation Gain: Approximately 2,000 meters

  1. Early Morning (6:00 AM – 7:00 AM):
    • Meet your guide and porters in Senaru Village.
    • Final preparations and briefing.
  2. Start Trekking (7:00 AM – 8:00 AM):
    • Begin your trek through the dense tropical forest of the Rinjani National Park.
    • You will pass through a few rest stops (Pos I, Pos II, and Pos III) where you can take breaks and enjoy snacks.
  3. Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM):
    • Have lunch at one of the rest stops, usually at Pos II or Pos III.
    • Enjoy the surroundings and rest before continuing your trek.
  4. Continue Trekking (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
    • After lunch, continue trekking towards the Senaru Rim.
    • The terrain becomes steeper as you approach the rim.
  5. Arrival at Senaru Rim (5:00 PM – 6:00 PM):
    • Set up camp at the Senaru Rim.
    • Enjoy the breathtaking views of the crater lake (Segara Anak) and the summit of Mount Rinjani.
  6. Dinner and Overnight:
    • Have dinner prepared by the porters.
    • Overnight in tents at the Senaru Rim.

Day 2: Senaru Rim to Senaru Village (B-L)

Elevation Loss: Approximately 2,000 meters

  1. Early Morning (5:00 AM – 6:00 AM):
    • Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the crater lake and Mount Rinjani.
  2. Breakfast (6:00 AM – 7:00 AM):
    • Enjoy breakfast with a view.
  3. Descend to Senaru Village (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
    • Begin your descent back to Senaru Village.
    • Take breaks at the same rest stops (Pos III, Pos II, and Pos I) on your way down.
  4. Lunch in Senaru Village (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM):
    • Arrive back in Senaru Village.
    • Have lunch and celebrate completing the trek.
    • Transfer back to your next destination
    • The program is end with sweet memories
